You can download the form from the CONTACT PAGE here on the website. If you can't do that, you can call the Northern Cherokee Nation office at 660-885-7779 and we can send you a form.

Tony Running Wolf tribal grounds report:
We are getting bids for gravel work and building the shower house. Looking for block layers. Electrical upgrades in the Powwow kitchen. Water line for shower house, digging below frost line. Looking for bids to apply for a grant to help with all costs. Get the mower fixed and annual oil change and blade sharpening or replacement on the other mower.
Karlee Little Hawk announced the start up of the first ever Northern Cherokee Nation Youth Program. You can read all about it on the website northerncherokeenation.com.
Crystal Wolf announced that she has secured the Zoo from Springfield to bring Eagles and animals native to Missouri to the powwow in September. Read all about it on the website. She personally would like to thank all those that donated to this project!

Running Wolf announced tribal marshal applications will be available at the March 9th meeting.
Chief Grey Elk announced he is working with Jean Vincent of the Polk County Museum, writing some of our history and stories. We may be going to Bolivar in June, waiting for dates. If conflict with June council meeting, we will be changing the council meeting date. Stay tuned for updates!
Crystal Wolf announced Silent Ember will be working on the butterfly garden around the flag poles this summer. Kevin and Becky Olson have donated a bird bath towards the project.
Gentle Rain says the drumming classes that Silent Ember is holding are going very well.
We are taking donations towards an auction for powwow. Items can be brought in at any time. NO large appliances, furniture or trash will be accepted.

Purple Blossom won the raffle of a blanket made by Sister Warrior Watcher.

Elder Rita Gentle Rain presented Running Wolf with a swear jar to sit on desk in front of him. If he or anyone else uses a cuss word they must donate to the jar. The donations will go towards the shower house and any other projects that we are doing to improve our grounds and buildings.
Deputy Chief Wandering Wolf is encouraging all of our citizens to attend the meetings and to bring their children and grandchildren. This is why we strive to continue our heritage. They need to learn the ancestors’ ways. They need to learn our culture and we need to cultivate them to be young leaders.
